Sales for Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Silent Hill 2 during their launch month were reportedly somewhat sluggish in Europe.
According to GSD data, which covers physical sales from major markets and digital sales from leading publishers (excluding Nintendo and 505 Games), Dragon Age: The Veilguard is tracking 18% below Dragon’s Dogma 2 and nearly 21% behind the PS5-exclusive Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth in sales for this year. Dring shared these insights on Bluesky.
The latest Dragon Age title ranked as the seventh best-selling game across Europe in October, one spot behind Silent Hill 2 on the monthly chart.
In comparison, launch sales for Konami’s Silent Hill 2 remake were 57% lower than the Resident Evil 4 remake and 31% behind the Dead Space remake, both of which launched in the previous year.
However, despite its availability on Game Pass for Xbox and PC, the release of Black Ops 6 contributed to a 12.4% rise in game sales across Europe in October.
Sales for Black Ops 6 were 5% higher than the underwhelming launch of Modern Warfare 3 from the previous year, but still 28% lower than Modern Warfare 2 in 2022.
On PlayStation, Black Ops 6 sales were up by 26% compared to Modern Warfare 3 and 2% higher than the sales for Modern Warfare 2.
Super Mario Party Jamboree debuted at No. 5 on the monthly sales chart. Its launch sales were down 6% compared to Mario Party Superstars, which released in 2021.
