Covid pandemic forced many production companies to shut down in March. This left hundreds of films and tv shows stuck in confinement for various months. However, the production companies resumed their business again from the month of August. Nevertheless, various health protocols were administered- masks, gloves, sanitizers, quarantine, daily checkups, and more- to protect cast and crew from catching the virus. Sadly, Young Sheldon has to suspend its 4th season filming following a covid 19 patient.

What to expect next?

On Friday, Young Sheldon finished shooting after a member of the production team tested positive for coronavirus. The unnamed team member of production was asymptomatic. Young Sheldon, a spinoff of the hit show THE BIG BANG THEORY, closed the production to ensure the safety of the whole team.

Young Sheldon, from Chuck Lorre Productions, and Warner Bros TV, started their production on the 22nd of September for their fourth season in Los Angeles. Currently, it is unclear how long the filming of the show will stay suspended. The reporters of the show are determining whether they can resume their shooting from next week. Considering, the sitcom will resume the shooting very fast, it’s possible that the show’s timetable will not be affected.

This is the second time, Young Sheldon has to stop filming due to a covid positive patient. Constant testing on sets has made it possible to isolate the crew members who have tested positive for Corvid-19. This helps all the crew members to stay safe.

Sitcom, Young Sheldon is not the first series who has suspended filming due to covid patients. Chicago Fire suspended their production after a crew member tested positive for covid. The Flash series also stopped shooting after a member tested covid positive. Excluding these, many other web shows also stopped shooting due to crew members catching the virus.
