Sony Announces 10 Games Leaving PS Plus Subscription Including An Exclusive

Sony has officially confirmed that 10 games will be leaving the PlayStation Plus subscription service this month.

As reported by Eurogamer, PlayStation’s ‘Last Chance to Play’ section shows that LittleBigPlanet 3 is among the titles exiting PS Plus soon, along with nine other games.

LittleBigPlanet 3, a puzzle platformer developed by Sumo Digital, was originally released on both PS3 and PS4 in November 2014 and is owned entirely by Sony Interactive Entertainment as part of the PlayStation Studios collection.

Earlier this year, Sony permanently shut down LittleBigPlanet 3’s servers due to technical issues and ongoing DDoS attacks, resulting in the loss of millions of community-created levels.

Playstation Plus Service

The removal of LittleBigPlanet 3 from PS Plus comes shortly after Horizon: Forbidden West was also taken down. Earlier in May 2024, Sony had similarly pulled the first game in the Horizon series, Horizon: Zero Dawn, from the service.

This makes three first-party PlayStation titles removed from PS Plus by Sony in 2024 without any provided explanation.

Following Horizon ‘s removal, fans speculated that Sony might be planning a PS5 remaster, although no official announcements have been made. Similarly, LittleBigPlanet fans have long hoped for a remaster of the trilogy for PS5 and PC, and this recent development has reignited that speculation.

In addition to LittleBigPlanet 3, several Dragon Quest titles, Gotham Knights, Ultra Street Fighter 4, and Tango Gameworks’ The Evil Within are also set to leave PS Plus this month.
