James Hillier Blount celebrated his birthday on February 22nd and was born in 1974. James Blunt is an English singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer who goes by the stage name James Blunt. He served under NATO during the 1999 Kosovo War as a former reconnaissance officer in the British Army’s Life Guards regiment. After serving in the military, he came to fame. Back to Bedlam was his first film, released in 2004, and it has received a lot of accolades since then.

Todd Interland, Elton John’s manager, with whom he used to share a residence, was suggested by a backing vocalist and songwriting colleague. He picked the stage name “Blunt” primarily to make it easier for others to pronounce; “Blount” is pronounced similarly and is his legal last name. “You’re Beautiful,” Blunt’s third single, was his breakthrough smash hit. In the United Kingdom, the song debuted at number 12! When Blunt’s song “You were Beautiful” hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006, she became the first British artist to do so in nearly a decade; the last British artist to do so was Elton John in 1997. With “Candle in the Wind 1997.” In some ways, he carried on the torch of his musical forefathers.
