Hartlepool Business Park Approved To Get Expansion

The expansion project for a business park in a town has been given the green light.

Queens Meadow Business Park, located in Hartlepool, County Durham, will soon welcome new occupants, including housebuilder Acland Homes and tool and plant hire company SAB Supplies.

Despite concerns over the impact on biodiversity due to the loss of a small natural habitat area, planners emphasized the numerous benefits of the development.

The decision came after deliberation by the Hartlepool Development Corporation, established by the Tees Valley Mayor to revitalize the region.

According to a report presented to the organization, the project promises to generate new employment opportunities within the borough, supporting the relocation of three local businesses to Queens Meadow Business Park.

Additionally, the approval includes an outline permission for a third unit, with specifics about occupants and design slated for future proposals.

To mitigate environmental impact, the agreement stipulates that the developer contribute £8,000 toward green infrastructure in the vicinity.

The approved plan also allocates space for a total of 28 car parking slots, including three designated for disabled individuals.
