Meta Reveals AI Model Movie Gen That Turns Images To Videos With Sound

On Friday, Meta revealed its new AI model, Movie Gen, designed to transform prompts into lifelike videos complete with sound.

While this innovative tool won’t be available on Instagram or other Meta platforms until next year, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg provided a glimpse of its capabilities in a demonstration video.

In the Instagram post, we see Zuckerberg, who’s recently been hitting the gym, working out on a leg press machine.

But as he exercises, the environment around him begins to shift. First, he’s in a neon-lit, futuristic gym.

Then, he’s decked out in gladiator armor (he’s clearly got the Roman Empire on his mind).

The leg press machine turns into a flaming, solid gold contraption, and soon after, the scene changes again—this time, he’s leg pressing a giant box of chicken nuggets, surrounded by a sea of french fries.

For those curious about the tech behind Movie Gen, we’ve got the details.

As for how many chicken nuggets you’d need to press to break a sweat, well, that’s still up in the air.
