Alan Wake 2 will fully harness the capabilities of the PlayStation 5 Pro to enhance gameplay and introduce a ray tracing option for console users.
Both the game’s Quality and Performance modes will see improvements on the PS5 Pro, utilizing the PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution upscaler to deliver enhanced visuals and performance.
In Quality mode, the game will run at 30 FPS with ray tracing enabled, featuring ray-traced reflections on both opaque and transparent surfaces, with an internal resolution of 2176 x 1224, upscaled to 4K.
Performance mode offers significantly higher resolution and visual detail compared to the base PS5, improving image stability, fog effects, volumetric lighting, and shadow precision.
In this mode, Alan Wake 2 will run at 60 FPS, with an internal resolution of 1536 x 864, also upscaled to 4K, surpassing the base model’s 1440p output.
