Attje Kuiken is a Dutch politician and is a member of the Labor Party. She was born on 27 October 1977 in Groningen, Netherlands. She joined the labor party in the year 2002. Even though she withdrew from the party for a short period of time, in 2020, Kuiken rejoined as a member. She has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2006. Kuiken grew up without a father. Her father left her mother when she was pregnant. But, she never once felt a void or missed a father-like figure in her life. This was because her mother was strong enough to handle every situation in their lives.

Attje Kuiken was born on 27 October 1977. She is 44 years old. She grew up with her mother in Groningen. Her father left her mother while she was carrying. She only met her father once in her lifetime. But Kuiken confesses that never in her life has she missed a father-like figure. Her mother was her strength, and there was nothing she could not handle. Although she admits that she faced financial troubles during her childhood, her mother ensured it did not affect her daughter. At the age of ten, she moved to Hoogezand-Sappemeer to forwarding in Friesland. She completed her public administration and government management in Leeuwarden. Later she joined Tilburg University to study policy and organizational sciences.

Kuiken got married and later moved to Breda. She gave birth to a daughter in 2010. Kuiken loves diving and often shares pictures of her enjoying her time in the water.

Political Career
The politician joined the labor party in the year 2002. In the year 2006, Kuiken became a Member of Parliament. After the resignation of Diederick Samson in 2016, Kuiken became the leader of the party. She has always been vocal about the government’s policies against crimes of sexual violence. She always lends an ear to these cases and always makes sure the victims receive closure in these cases so that they can move forward in their life leaving behind their past. Throughout her career, she has signed a number of bills. This included bills ensuring a safe neighborhood, less work pressure for police, and the one involved in making Dutch the official language of the country.

In 2012, she submitted a private bill to safeguard children from the asylum procedure. Through this, the politician wants the children to learn, understand and value the importance of health and well-being. In 2017, Kuiken was sixth in position on the list of candidates to participate in the elections for the House of Representatives.
