Elon Musk has acknowledged using two separate undisclosed accounts on X, the social media platform.
This revelation came during a deposition for a lawsuit involving one of his X posts. Musk clarified that he briefly used one account as a “test account,” where he role-played as a child.
During the deposition, Musk was questioned about whether he had used an account on X that was linked to him by users on social media.
Some X users had identified the account after Musk posted a screenshot of his X interface, which appeared to show the additional account.
The account in question, @ermnmusk, was named “Elon Test” and seemed to depict Musk role-playing as a child, possibly his three-year-old son.
Musk stated that he no longer uses that account, emphasizing that it was used briefly for testing purposes.
While Musk’s main X account has over 180 million followers, the @ermnmusk account has fewer than 500 followers. Musk also mentioned another account, @babysmurf9000, which he described as a burner account.
However, there seems to be some confusion, as there is no account listed under that name. Musk has been linked to an account named @babysmurf9000 in the past, which has reposted Tesla and X news.
The deposition, which took place on March 27, was released as part of a lawsuit filed against Musk.
The lawsuit alleges that Musk promoted a conspiracy theory on X that falsely associated 22-year-old Ben Brody with a neo-Nazi group. Brody, who is suing Musk for $1 million in damages, claims that Musk’s actions damaged his reputation.
