Fitbit for Android has undergone several design updates recently, with the latest introducing layouts tailored for tablets and foldable devices.
Previously, the Fitbit app on large screens was merely a stretched version of the phone interface, offering little optimization for bigger displays.
Now, the four customizable stat rings are arranged side-by-side, replacing the earlier layout of one large circle with three smaller ones beneath it.
This refreshed design is visible in both landscape and portrait orientations, providing a more cohesive experience across devices.
Additionally, stat cards no longer stretch across the entire screen. Instead, they are presented in a dual-column layout in landscape mode, making much better use of the available space.
Other layout adjustments, such as revamped next/previous day controls, further enhance the app’s usability on large-screen Android devices, particularly benefiting foldable owners.
These improvements are live with version 4.30 of Fitbit for Android, although it’s possible that the tablet and foldable redesign began rolling out earlier. However, one notable omission remains: the app still lacks a dark theme.
With Google nearing the completion of its migration from legacy stat pages to the new design, users are hopeful that a night-friendly mode will follow soon.
