Google Gemini: AI chatbot Bard is dead, Gemini Advanced (Ultra 1.0) as a subscription for 22 euros

Google’s beloved chatbot Bard has been succeeded by Google Gemini, a revolutionary AI model that promises enhanced capabilities and versatility. Unveiled in December 2023, Gemini comes in three tiers: Nano, Pro, and Ultra, with Ultra standing as the pinnacle of Google’s AI technology, tailored for intricate tasks.

Excitingly, Google Gemini is now accessible online in 40 languages, including German and English, offering users unprecedented linguistic flexibility. In the United States, Android users can experience Gemini’s prowess through the dedicated Gemini app, compatible with devices like the Google Pixel 8 Pro.

Meanwhile, Apple aficionados can leverage Gemini’s capabilities within the Google app for iOS on their iPhones. The free version of Gemini utilizes the Pro 1.0 AI model, providing users with a taste of its potential.

For those seeking enhanced features and performance, Google presents Gemini Advanced, a premium AI subscription service available in 150 countries.

Harnessing the formidable power of Gemini Ultra 1.0, Advanced offers unparalleled capabilities. While currently available in Germany solely in English, Gemini Advanced promises a transformative AI experience.

To celebrate the launch of Gemini Advanced in Germany, Google is offering subscribers a complimentary two-month trial of the Google One AI Premium subscription, priced at 43.98 euros per month thereafter.

This subscription encompasses 2 TB of storage across Google Photos, Gmail, and Google Drive for the subscriber and up to five additional users, ensuring seamless integration into Google’s ecosystem.

Furthermore, Google One Premium subscribers enjoy an array of additional perks, including a 10% refund as Google Store credit on device purchases and expanded functionalities within Google Meet and Google Calendar. Gemini integration with Gmail, Docs, and other tools is also on the horizon, promising enhanced productivity and convenience.

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, elucidates in a blog post that Gemini’s reach extends beyond consumer-facing products, permeating into Google Workspace and Google Cloud.

Duet AI, rebranded as Gemini for Workspace, empowers users with Gemini’s intelligence across Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet, accessible via the Google One AI Premium subscription.

Similarly, Gemini for Cloud customers will soon benefit from Gemini’s capabilities within their respective environments, marking a significant leap forward in AI integration and functionality.
