MrBeast Earns $700M Annually, claims not Rich, Citing Extensive Reinvestment

It is undeniable that MrBeast earns a considerable amount of money. The popular YouTuber, known as Jimmy Donaldson, brings in hundreds of millions of dollars from his YouTube channel and Feastables food brand.

Despite his annual revenue ranging from $600 million to $700 million, Donaldson claims he is not wealthy. With a whopping 239 million subscribers and videos that regularly reach over 100 million views, each video earns a few million in ad revenue and brand deals.

According to Time Magazine, brands pay between $2.5 million to $3 million for a shout-out in one of their videos.

However, this money does not go straight into his bank account. Even if it did, the 25-year-old states that he does not have access to it. He explains, “I have a CFO and everything, but [my mom is] the one who has access to the master bank account.”

Instead of personal gain, the income is reinvested into expanding his brand and audience. “I have reinvested everything to the point of what you could claim stupid, just believing that we would succeed,” Donaldson admits. “And it’s worked out.”

A significant portion of his investment goes towards his extravagant stunts, such as purchasing a grocery store and paying a contestant $10,000 each day they live in it.

Time reports that a video capturing 12,000 hours of footage may end up being only 15 minutes long. Of course, Donaldson’s lifestyle is not one of struggle.

With his plans to continue expanding his empire, Donaldson acknowledges that he may eventually reap the financial benefits. “I am not naive; maybe one day,” he says of becoming wealthy. “But for now, whatever we make, we reinvest”
