Kadokawa Corporation, a major Japanese media conglomerate with numerous subsidiaries, including Spike Chunsoft (creator of Danganronpa) and FromSoftware (developer of Elden Ring and Dark Souls), has confirmed it currently has 26 new titles in development.
According to a report from GameWatch (via Automaton), these upcoming projects include 20 console games and six mobile titles.
It’s likely that Spike Chunsoft, FromSoftware, and Acquire—known for the Tenchu: Stealth Assassins series and Hookah Haze—are among the studios involved in these new developments.
Some of these titles have already been announced; for instance, Gotcha Gotcha Games, another Kadokawa subsidiary, is working on Action Game Maker, slated for release in 2025.
In a recent financial report, Kadokawa shared that its gaming segment has been significantly boosted by strong domestic and international sales of Elden Ring and its DLC, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree.
Year over year, the gaming segment saw a 32.8% increase in net sales, while operating profit rose by 50.8%.
