Despite how the show made us toss and turn in our seats, it’s no lie that while we were all confined to our homes, it took us on a tour of Paris and all the other pretty places in France! From Emily’s apartment to the village of Champagne at Camille’s mansion, to picturesque day and night shots of the Eiffel Tower, this show had it all!
The first season’s principal photography took place in Paris and its environs. The location of Emily’s first flat, the café, and the bakery are all filmed at Place de l’Estrapade. Some scenes were also shot at Saint-Denis’ Cité du Cinéma, a filming studio. Le Grand Véfour, le Pont Alexandre III, Palais Garnier, L’Atelier des Lumières, Rue de l’Abreuvoir, Jardin du Luxembourg, Jardin Du Palais Royale, Café de Flore, and the Panthéon are among the famous Parisian sites included in the series. A sequence was also shot at the Château de Sonnay in the Indre-et-Loire province.

Plan A Trip To France:
Season two of the show, which premiered on Netflix on December 22, has even more stunning filming locations than season one. This season, the production relocated to the South of France, providing us with breathtaking landscapes of the beaches. If you’re looking to have a Tres Bien time, here’s our guide to you to channel your inner Emily Cooper living her Parisian life!

First up, we have many boat rides accessible at Bateaux Mouches, where Mindy and her band performed that night.
Secondly, we have the place where Emily spends a weekend with her girlfriends at Villefranche-sur-Mer, which is disguised as Saint-Tropez. Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat was also used for several sequences. This stunning place served as the setting for Saint-Tropez. Camille, Emily, and Mindy stay at the Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, owned by four seasons.

The girls have a pretty adventurous trip, and it is a very turbulent time in Emily and Camille’s friendship. When the gal pals go out to lunch before hopping on a yacht with Pierre Cadault’s foe, they go to a restaurant that is actually in Saint-Tropez! Senequier is also where Mindy’s estranged father took her as a youngster.
Sylvie’s Lover:
Laurant G, who is revealed to be Sylvie’s husband in season 2, owns a restaurant by the beach. All those scenes are filmed at the breathtaking beach club called Paloma located in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat! The show also filmed its ultimate showdown season finale’s fashion show at Versailles! No other location would have been fit for such a fantastic and editorial runway!

Bustling Crowds:
Emily and Gabriel go to Le Marche D’aligre, a vibrant market in the 12th arrondissement, to purchase groceries for her dinner party. It begins to rain just as Gabriel is serious about making a move on Emily, intending to kiss her, but Emily flees, preferring to be drenched rather than be in such an awkward circumstance.

With the Louvre’s famed pyramids in the background, Emily, Camille, and Sylvie enjoy a pleasant lunch outside the museum.

The La Samaritaine retail center is enormous and has everything you and Emily could want. Later in the season, a film team returned for the Laboratoire Lavaux event.

Emily meets Camille at the Tortuga Galeries Lafayette Paris Haussmann to view the Palais Garnier in the backdrop when she finally gets Camille to hear her out over the whole Gabriel love affair.

The kick-around between Gabriel and Alfie occurs at Émile Anthoine Stadium, which has a beautiful backdrop of the Eiffel Tower in the background. The uneasy air seeps through the screens, into our houses, and inevitably into our lives, yet it’s all forgiven because of the spectacular landscapes.

Despite the fact that it was said that Emily, Camille, and Mindy attend an extravagant party at the Ragazzi House, the party was recorded at Château Dieter on the French Riviera. The show becomes incredibly proficient in disguising a variety of locations to avoid interfering with the daily lives of the French.

Staying true to its rom-com genre, the show incorporates as many cliches as possible. We have a frigid boss, a hot boy-next-door neighbor, entertaining coworkers, a brilliant but moody fashion designer, and supportive friends. But, above all, it is full of gorgeous locations that make us yearn for a vacation to the small villages and cafes.
