The upcoming Netflix film Unforgivable trailer opens with Ruth(Bullock) leaving prison, interspersed with footage of her getting a call while behind bars. And the caller who calls her, who isn’t revealed in the trailer, tells her, “You’re gonna pay for what you did.” In the next scene, we see Ruth trying to get back to the normal life of things, as well as receiving threatening phone calls and flashbacks about their past. She begs for access to her younger sister she has to leave while in prison, Katie, who she raised, meets with attorneys to try to see her while everyone around her debates whether her cop-killer history should stick to her forever or if she can be redeemed.
