October is nearly over, but Xiaomi has plans to release not just one but two new wearable devices before Halloween.
Currently, the Smart Band 9 Pro and the Xiaomi Watch S4 are set to launch only in China. However, there’s a strong possibility that these models will reach other markets in the coming weeks.
If you’ve been following, you’ll know there have been a few recent leaks hinting at these releases.
It seems that the Apple Watch SE competitor spotted a couple of weeks ago may indeed be among the products launching this week.
Leaks have also suggested an ‘Active’ version of the Smart Band 9, which appears to be a more compact, budget-friendly smartwatch option that could appeal to anyone looking for an affordable wearable.
So, why the excitement?
For many, it’s Xiaomi’s budget-friendly approach that makes these releases worth noting.
The base Smart Band 9 received a solid four-star rating in our review, praised for its “smooth user interface, reliable health tracking, and a bright, bold display” – all for a price of just $60 / £34.99 / AU$79.99.
The Xiaomi Watch S4 also shows promise, with hints that it will sport a classic design similar to the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, featuring a timeless silver bezel.
The Watch S4 will also carry forward the “swappable” bezel design from its predecessor, allowing for added customization.
