Recently, he has shown a more unfiltered side of himself, but durindg a live-streamed conversation with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, Zuckerberg appeared to deviate from his usual polished demeanor.
The discussion, which was meant to highlight their achievements in AI, took an unexpected turn when Zuckerberg became notably candid.
The conversation initially proceeded in a conventional manner, with both executives praising each other’s advancements in AI technology. Zuckerberg highlighted Meta’s new AI Studio announcement before moving on to his regular talking points, including criticism of Apple, a company with which he has had a longstanding feud.
Zuckerberg’s frustration with Apple’s “closed” ecosystem, particularly the App Store, became evident during the discussion. He expressed deep-seated irritation with being restricted by platform providers, revealing his personal frustration with their control over what can be built. His candid remark, “fuck that,” underscored his growing annoyance with the constraints imposed on his company.
Huang noted the shift in tone, and Zuckerberg acknowledged his outburst with an apology, attributing his strong reaction to his anger about closed platforms. Despite the slip, the exchange highlighted Zuckerberg’s underlying frustration and his desire to build more open and accessible technology for future social experiences.
