As Pakistan and Saudi Arabia convened on Tuesday, they jointly called for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Prince Faisal emphasized the urgency of the situation, highlighting the looming threat of famine in Gaza due to the lack of humanitarian assistance reaching the population. He denounced the dire circumstances, stating, “This is an unacceptable situation.”

The joint call from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia underscores their shared concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and their commitment to seeking a swift resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Without directly referencing recent events, Dar emphasized the destabilizing impact of conflict in an already volatile region, advocating for peace and dialogue as the primary objectives.

Tensions have escalated since the onset of the latest Israel-Hamas conflict, characterized by deadly attacks and retaliatory measures.

Dar underscored the severity of the situation, describing the casualties in Gaza as “genocide” and urging the international community to take immediate action.

He called for an unconditional cease-fire and emphasized the importance of delivering aid to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the territory.

Earlier, Sharif engaged in discussions with Prince Faisal, underscoring the importance of closer ties with Saudi Arabia.

This follows Sharif’s recent meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia, highlighting the strong alliance between the two nations.

During the meeting, Prince Mohammed pledged a significant investment of $5 billion in Pakistan, further strengthening bilateral relations.

In a demonstration of support, Saudi Arabia previously deposited $2 billion into Pakistan’s central bank in July, aimed at bolstering the nation’s foreign exchange reserves.
