Smart Contract

A smart contract is self-executing code stored on a blockchain that runs automatically when its conditions are met, with no intermediary required. Pioneered by Ethereum, smart contracts power DeFi, NFTs and most tokens. Because the code is public and immutable, bugs can be very costly, which is why independent audits are essential.
