Bear Market

A bear market is a prolonged period of falling prices and pessimism, often defined as a drop of 20% or more from recent highs. Crypto bear markets can be deep and lengthy, washing out leverage and weak projects. They are also when long-term investors often quietly accumulate. The opposite is a bull market.
